thanks to anyone who came out for the show last saturday. it has been an extremely emotional week+ for everyone in cleveland who knew our beloved friend mitch andelmo. his tragic passing will never be forgotten. the show was not easy to play, but somehow allowed myself (billy) to channel energy i've never felt playing a show before. it was a tribute to his beautiful spirit. when something like this occurs it makes music seem insignificant, but then you realize that music is one of the only things that makes sense in the world.

freeze-tag and gentle clinks were also awesome, it was a fun night of music.
we are working hard on our new 7 song album which should be out sometime in early september. if you haven't seen us live recently it focuses a lot more on shannon's voice and we have guitar in the mix now too. I hope to see you all soon <3

7/7 & 7/8 Weekend Recap

We had a really fun weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we opened for Young Magic and Quilt at the Happy Dog. Sunday we were reunited with our old friend and Cleveland native Dorian Duvall (aka Onuinu) when we played with him and Tycho at the Beachland Balroom. In the midst of all this chaotic fun, we were able to capture 3 pictures. NEXT SHOW: August 4th

weekend recap: 6/7&8 2012

great show on thursday opening up for ramona falls at the beachland tavern here in cleveland, it turned out that the darcys bus unfortunately broke down, and they couldn't make it, so it ended up being a 2 band bill. ramona falls were really nice guys and brent invited shannon up on stage to sing a song with them. in shameful fashion, billy lost a game of rock/paper/scissors to brandon (RF guitarist). hopefully this crushing defeat doesn't end up on the internet, because it was filmed for an alleged video tour blog they are putting together.

friday we headed off to pittsburgh to play with the van allen belt and nelly kate at the mr. roboto project. both bands were really solid and very nice. it seems like they are doing a lot of cool stuff in the neighborhood surrounding roboto in PGH, lots of up and coming art galleries and show spaces.

to cap it all off on early saturday afternoon....billy's softball team "sam's beverage" beat "wcsb" (cleveland state radio station) 29-3 for their biggest win ever after going 0-10 last season. all in all, it was a successful and fun weekend!

gentle beast

that's our german shepard and security guard samson. if we ever go on tour, he will protect our van. he's very sweet and intelligent, but also a very good judge of character and can sniff out a shady shyster in a second. shannon is currently in new york city for the weekend celebrating memorial day, she no doubt misses this noble beast.

our show in kent last thursday went quite well. our new material is working out quite swimmingly and we should be ready to record another 7 song album within a month or so. our sound seems to be changing itself organically now that we've brought guitar into the mix.

speaking of shows, our next two are on 6/7 @ the beachland in cleveland and 6/8 in pittsburgh @ mr. roboto project. i'll post more information on those soon.

finished the albums, specifically made for our show tonight. there is something cathartic about making them yourself rather than getting them pressed and having a billion copies laying around. looking forward to the show tonight, we've got some new songs ready..

been working tonight on the albums we'll be giving out at the tanlines show. they're (obviously) supposed to look a little rough around the edges and each one will be totally unique. making 40 copies ...
