great show on thursday opening up for ramona falls at the beachland tavern here in cleveland, it turned out that the darcys bus unfortunately broke down, and they couldn't make it, so it ended up being a 2 band bill. ramona falls were really nice guys and brent invited shannon up on stage to sing a song with them. in shameful fashion, billy lost a game of rock/paper/scissors to brandon (RF guitarist). hopefully this crushing defeat doesn't end up on the internet, because it was filmed for an alleged video tour blog they are putting together.
friday we headed off to pittsburgh to play with the van allen belt and nelly kate at the mr. roboto project. both bands were really solid and very nice. it seems like they are doing a lot of cool stuff in the neighborhood surrounding roboto in PGH, lots of up and coming art galleries and show spaces.
to cap it all off on early saturday afternoon....billy's softball team "sam's beverage" beat "wcsb" (cleveland state radio station) 29-3 for their biggest win ever after going 0-10 last season. all in all, it was a successful and fun weekend!
